The TOPMAG Ditch Magnets are the most available and highly effective designed tools to catch or remove metal contaminants from the drilling mud that the shale shaker will not get. This tool will capture all metals having magnetic attraction and hold them until they can be removed from the mud stream. This tool is particularly valuable during milling operations. Removal of mill cuttings and debris reduces wear of mud pumps and other equipment, as well as eliminating problems caused by the return downhole of harmful debris. They are equally effective during washover and fishing jobs.

The TOPMAG mainly manufactures two kinds of ditch magnets, one is big rectangle,and the other is magnetic frame.Totally made with stainless steel and watertight, these magnets are employed to remove iron particles from drilling mud.Their use highly reduces the wearing of both pumps and other equipment operating when drilling.

The first kind of ditch magnet consists of a main body and a fixed support which are all made of stainless steel. The main body is composed of two layers, both top and bottom surfaces of each layer can adsorb scrap iron. The main body is made of imported magnet with the highest absorbability, which feathers high absorbability, large adsorption area and long service life. The installation method is: hang the fixed supports at the two sides of the ditch magnet to the mud with stainless steel chains.

The stainless steel end plates of the second ditch magnet provide just the right stand-off for optimal separation of iron and other ferrous particulate from the drilling fluid.  The TOPMA ditch magnet has built-in handles and holes in each end plate for attaching a soft line, as well as allowing two magnets to be bolted end-to-end if more magnetic separation area is desired. Simply pull the pin that secures the fitted Stainless Steel sleeve section to the magnet end, and pull the magnet array out of the debris sleeve. The flanged end of the debris sleeve allows the debris to fall free as the magnet is pulled out. Once the magnet is clear of the sleeve, simply rinse the Stainless Steel sleeve section and reassemble in reverse order.
